Notable Interred People
Prominent Fort Plain Men and Women of the 18th & 19th Centuries. Following the completion of the Erie Canal the Village of Fort Plain moved from the Sand Hill community to its present location. The village was then incorporated in 1832. Businesses began to develop along the canal and Fort Plain became a thriving village due to the efforts of the following men and women who are buried in the Fort Plain Cemetery
